Climbing at Vantage

A few friends took me climbing at Vantage.   My friend Rachel told me to expect a near desert, a beautiful landscape.

In the photos: Arie Voorman, Rachel Routson and her cdit Toby.

Charlie Parr

Last year, one of my favorite Minnesotan musicians came through Seattle.   I asked him if we could meet up for coffee and if I could take his photo with my Rolleiflex.

 I give you Charlie Parr.

While attending Winona State University, I would go to see Charlie play at Ed's No Name Bar.  His music reminds me of home and I still try to catch him live every time I can.   If you ever get the chance to sit down with him and chat over a cup of coffee, I highly recommend it.

You can find out more about his music here:  http://www.charlieparr.com/

Doe Bay Fest

This past summer, I was able to get a last-minute ticket and ride to Doe Bay.   I hadn't planned on going to the festival but was incredibly happy to end my summer on such a wonderful note.   I only shot three rolls of film, two color and one black & white.  The rest of the time I spent soaking in the incredible music and people.    Here are a few shots of young people enjoying life.    I hope to make it back this year.  If you are able to get a ticket, I would absolutely recommend going.   If nothing else, the slip 'n slide was worth the trip.

I will be adding a few additional photos to a facebook album later this week - diversifying my social media.
